I am nearing completion of my off-season battery replacement/rewiring project. With lots of support from the members of this forum, I have installed 4 Trojan t125s paralleled thru the Perko for the house, a grp 27 start battery dedicated to the engine and charged thru a combiner, and a link 10 to monitor the house side. So far, so good. A few loose ends remain.
1. How (and where) does this internally regulated alternator measure the voltage to determine it's output?
2. I have noted that when I shut off my charger, the link shows current flow from the house to the start battery as long as the combiner is on. Will this pose a problem with respect to the links ability to measure house capacity, or is this looked at as just another source of discharge? Understand that I have not set my link up yet and understand little about it.
Thanks
Scott
