Posts: 206 Sep 11 12 8:06 AM	Tags : None With my wife, Lisa, as Skipper, "Izablue" took first place in the womens division( PHRF-Spin Class) in the Long Beach to Dana Point Race on 9/1/2012!. In addition, my 14 year old daughter did her first "big boat" race with Mom and the girls. Dad is real proud! Mark "Izablue" 835/3 p.s. Congrads to Capt Norm on his win... we might try that race next year!

Congratulations to her, your daughter and the rest of the crew for taking home a 1st place trophy! Wish I had known you would be in Long Beach that Saturday as Aphrodisiac and another 42 (New Moon) were on the LBYC long dock for our YC's Commodore's Cruise. Very interesting, out of all the boats in our YC, 8 boats attended this cruise. Every boat was a Catalina, in range of 47 - 28'. Thanks for the congrads on my win in the San Diego race. Next year's race is scheduled for July 5, it would be great if you entered. I would like it very much if Izablue entered our One Design C42 class in next year's City of Hope Regatta. To read more about it, check out the front cover and cover story of the latest Mainsheet magazine. ASMBYC has been working on the calendar and it looks like it's scheduled for May 19, 2013. I will be able to reserve slips for out ot town boats. Heck, it's a good excuse to take your boat to Marina del Rey. Posts: 206 Sep 16 12 2:14 PM	Norm, The one design sounds great! Keep me in the loop as far as the dates go. I will put them on our calendar for next year. We are slowly gearing up on equipment as the budget allows. Although my wife and I have raced as crew on numerous boat, we are having fun learning the "racing" side of sailing our boat.
