My 42 has been put into winter storeage on the hard for the season. After winterizing and draining of all the systems was completed, the bilge was pumped bone
dry and the boat "buttoned up." On a reccheck one month later the bilge was full of water. This is baffling.
For one the mast is plugged and has a weephole drilled at deck level to get rid of any rain water that might come down the mast . .there is no eveidence of any interior leaking of hatches etc . . .The only theory I can think of is that rain water entered the anchor well, didn't drain like it should to the outside because it may have been plugged with leaves or debris and then somehow found its way into the bilge some how. Is too far fetched of an idea or is there something else I should check for.
