The ladder on my C36 rusted thru from trapped saltwater. After repairing it, I drilled drain holes near the hinge to drain water when the ladder was stowed. Did the same on the low point of the ladder BUT also drilled two 1/4"holes at the high point when in the stored upright position. Flush the whole thing out through the "up holes" with fresh water each time you use deck shower or wash down.
