Posts: 33 09/11/07 05:22:12	My chart shows the "I" dimension to be 53ft. From an online treatment of how to measure for sails, I pasted a quote below. Using the formula there, a cruising spinnaker for our boats should be from 48.76 to 57.24 feet of luff. Hope that helps-- Spinnakers For racing, the spinnakers luff should equal the "I" dimension and the max foot/girth should not exceed 1.8 X "J" . For cruising spinnakers the luff can be plus or minus 8% of "I" but cannot exceed maximum hoist on the halyard.
