I am looking for information on who makes and how to find the whisker pole cars that fit into our nonfurling mast grooves without adding external tracks. I
have searched the web and have drawn a blank. If anyone has purchased one recently where did you get it and what size do I need
Thanks for any information I am leaving the Northwest next week for Mexico and this is one of my last upgrades

Dave,
I have successfully obtained parts directly from Charleston Spars in the past. Better prices than RigRite. They are a bit hard to contact as it appears there is only one guy to answer questions and fill orders. The parts I think you are looking for are in this brochure http://www.charleston-spar.com/us/technical_support/technical_brochures/ocean_range/fichiers/spinnaker_gear.pdf . I'd be interested to hear how you make out.

A few years ago I bought directly from Charleston Spars but the last time (1-2 years ago) they directed me to Rigrite as they no longer sold directly to customers. Have you had better luck recently? Nick

Thanks for all your help I contacted Charleston Spar and they directed me to a rigging company in Seattle. Yacht Masters NW. They came out a little cheaper
than Rigrite and say they will have it to me today. WE will see

Having used the car you are about to order (or have ordered) a caution - if you let the whisker pole come back to far (i.e. close to the shrouds) you will
break the casting in a heartbeat. When trimming it is easy to do - you just give the jib sheet a little tug and bang - there goes the car. I ended up putting
on external "T-track." I am not sure it is a better solution, but I think it takes the stress of overtrimming a little better. Of course, I also try
and remind my trimmers that the pole can't come back behind the mast.
