Bottom Painting Cost

I am curious as to what others pay (excluding cost of paint) to have there C42s sanded and painted with one coat. It looks like I am going to pay in excess of $1000 which to me seems unreasonable.

Posts: 96 04/05/06 03:46:28	You got a good deal. Here in Annapolis, it's $24/ft. for sanding and bottom paint (Trinidad SR). Hull waxing is an additional $10/ft. Obviously, that doesn't include the hauling, blocking, and launching.

Posts: 28 04/11/06 15:21:58	In Alamitos Bay in California we had ours done with 2 coats & a little gel coat repair at the waterline (old scratch in the boot stripe) and it cost us $1200 including the haulout and trip back.
