I just got to sailing our "new" cat 42 JOLINI for the first time properly since we bought her last Oct.
She is the wing keel , short rudder model which I must admit I did think would perform too well but liked the many other attributes not to let that worry us too much - our days of English Channel races being long gone.
I was proved wrong , in a good F4 to 5 she just flew , full main and full 135% genoa, pointed to about 35dgrees at 7.6knots
(GPS) weather helm just getting a bit too much so reefed to 60% headsail and she became sure footed lost little speed. In short very impressive. She does have a fully battened new main and radial cut headsail so this probably helped.
Now to my question -- having run the engine for about a hour was surprised that the water was not that hot and also did not stay hot for long --- is this normal or should I be checking it out?
Thanks
