Port and Hatch sizes for Lewmar seal gaskets |

Trying to find the sizes of Lewmar ports (possibly a #2?) and hatch (located over the foot section of Pullman berth) and hatch over the dinning table for 2003
MKII.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated Thank you. |

According to the Lewmar web site, http://en.lewmar.com/webspares/index.aspx?prod=hatch,
hatches produced after 1997 have the identifying information stamped in the acrylic. I think all the C42's use the Ocean hatches and Standard portlight.
There are dimensions given in the hatch and fitting guide under Product Literature.

Thanks Bob.
I measured them though of course where to exactly measure is not clear and Lew-mar is not helpful either. I have no stampings on my hatches. I have also been told that their supply chain is wretched and it could take a month or so to get these gaskets. Regards, Billie Lawless

Billie; Depending on your location I have found Florida rigging and Hydraulics in Riveria Beach Fl to be most helpful. They are Lewmar dealer. I just give them
the approx opening dimensions and they figure out the model. I've ordered a couple hatches and gaskets and have been very satisfied. Their phone number is

After consdierable prodding (about 6 weeks, phone calls, emails and finally a phone call to Robert Butler) Iwas able to get Kent at Catalina to tell me with
'98%' certainy that the size of the Port gasket is a #7-R and the hatches are #44 low profile not the Ocean as you mentioned.
At Lewmar site it is the Size 7 RE New Standard Portlight. The hatch is the Size 44 Lid overtall 512cm X 512 cm. I have received the Port gasket, installed and leaking has stopped (also reset the port into the boat). Still waiting on the hatch gaskets. I might add that there is no information stamped any where on my ports or hatches. The hatches do have a final inspection sticker on them. Kent informed me that they never really recorded the sizes or specs of many of the items that went into the boats over the years. Am I surprised? If only the Butlers could pull it together....98% is about it. If they could hit 110% I'd be with them all the way.
