Recently I purchased a used asymetrical spinnaker. I am thinking about buying an ATN Tacker for controling the tack of the sail. Does anyone have any
comments on use of the ATN Tacker as opposed to other alternatives. Price of the ATN is $99. Thanks,

I have an asymmetrical spinnaker also and use both the ATN sock and tacker, they are both great. I cant imagine using the kite without them. Especially the
sock.

We don't have an asymetrical on Ursa Minor but did have one on our Cal 31. Our results with the Tacker were a bit mixed. By leaving the tack loose you
get a better idea of the sail trim. If the tack line is vertical then the sheets are trimmed right. Also, when sailing deep angles we would ease the tack and
let the sail baloon to help keep it filled and pull better. Having the Tacker on prevented us from doing both so we frequently went without it. It was also
pretty hard to place and remove. If we get an asymmetrical and find I want to restrain the tack I will just make my own with some line and parrel beads.
There is a good article in the most recent Cruising World that covers the asymmetrical pretty well.
