In the process of removing and repairing my fresh water system pump, I damaged the outlet PVC pipe, just downstream of the connector to the pump. The damaged
pipe runs from the pump to the manifold located under the cabin sole at the foot of the companionway. Before I get too far into the repair, I wondered if
anyone can offer me some advice. Is it relatively easy to "splice" a new section of the PVC piping to the old, or am I faced with having to replace
the entire pipe? I don't have any experience working with leaks in PVC piping. Actually, I was surprised to see the rigid piping in use when I bought the
boat -- I'm used to the flexible water hoses used on my prior boats.
