It's actually pretty easy to upload them. First resize them. I happen to like max of 700 pixels horizontal. Then click Images top right of most yuku
screens. Create an album. Open up the album & upload a file. Open up the photo on yuku & click in the address line (top left), it should turn blue.
Right click it then click copy. All this is assuming Internet Explorer on a Windows machine.
In the body of the post, right click where you want that photo then click paste, you will see a link, something like http://captnorm42.u.yuku.com/fs/view/fid/38474 Or, you can click Insert Image on the top, to the left of Spellcheck. Then you will see something like:

I am planning on installing an Espar Hydronic 10 heating system with 3 zones plus domestic hot water to my 'new to me' C-42 and had
a few questions for those of you who have installed a similar system.
1. Where has the unit been installed and is there a way to soundproof it to minimize noise in the cabin? My initial thought was to install it in the port lazarette, maybe below the refrigeration unit. 2. Where are the heat exchangers and outlet ports installed in the forward and aft cabins and heads? 3. What is the best way to have outside air drawn in by one or more of the heat exchangers to reduce condensation? 4. How do you get diesel to the unit if there isn't an extra pick up port on the fuel tank? Thank you. Colin

Colin:
Per the previous posts in this topic, I've done this install in a 3 cabin. I live in Portland and would be happy to meet with you on your boat to discuss. I'd also suggest you drive up to the Fleet 12 Rendezvous where you can poke your head into everyone's laz and see what they've done. Specific to your questions... 1. We went on the port laz on the back wall of the stateroom. Of course, you don't have that wall in the two cabin, but the sound coming through the wall is not bad. Be sure to buy the Boat Electric muffler. It's cheaper than the espar muffler, and works better. Exhaust routing will be your biggest challenge, but I think you can make it work on the starboard cabin wall. 2. Heat exhangers are tough. We used a heatercraft model in the "footlocker" of the aft stateroom. It was very tight and we used a few custom fittings. The forward stateroom has an exchanger forward of the water tank and comes out through the door where you'd access the thru hulls. I've got a slick method for that. Also goes forward to forward head. I've got another exchanger in the aft heat - 7 exchangers total in the boat. 3. Most exchangers have a place to draw in outside air. In a two cabin, I think you could do this in the "garage" area. Three cabins are harder, and I don't have a good answer. 4. I have a T in the fuel line with a second pump and filter. I'll have to look at the boat again, but it worked out to be a slick system. I can isolate the heater in a heartbeat with a ball valve. I can have my co-owner draw this up, as he installed the fuel system. Ken Fischer catalina42@mac.com
