Yes but think of the satisfaction that you get by re-finishing your own floorboards - including practicing all those words that you cannot use around the family - and proudly point out your workmanship afterwards. And only you will feel the intense pain when some clutz drops a pan on your beautifull new floor. You would not want to miss that would you???
