I guess better late than never. Here are some pictures of my installation of 2" thick Soundown insulation in the engine compartment. I added a 3/4" plywood bulkhead just forward of the water heater and attached insulation to it. This closes off the engine compartment from the rest of the boat. There is a small hole that allows water to flow from aft compartment to bilge area above keel. I supply air to the engine with a blower pulling air from the after compartment and direct the duct at the alternator so it stays cooler. I also exhaust the compartment with another blower that exits the air outside. This keeps the compartment cooler, well exhausted and the alternator gets lots of cool air. I also added 2" insulation to the ceiling. All foam was attached with self-starting screws with washers under the heads. I use non flammable spray foam out of a can to fill in any gaps. People who have been on the boat since I installed the insulation note the sound is much lower than before. Next step is to add the 2" insulation to the companionway steps replacing the 1/2" insulation that came with the boat.

The dual filter valve panel allows me to switch tanks and/or switch filters while the engine is running. It includes vacuum gauge to tell when filter is restricting the flow. I used clear lexan for the panel so I could see any leaks easily(none so far). I used rubber fuel line for the interconnects, but I think you could use copper tubing too. You need rubber hose for areas that will see a lot of vibration.
