Wondering if there is a formal word on the Stability number of the MK1. I know these things are variable based on weight, rig, sail plan etc...But wondering if there is a sense, formal or otherwise, of the original factory designed/delivered boat.
I recently purchased hull 125 that was well upgraded by the previous owners for a Los Angeles to Annapolis cruise. I plan to do some blue water as well and in my preparations and study of some of the well respected texts on the subject of heavy weather the angle of stability is highly regarded and examined.
This is actually my second 42, originally owned hull 59, and as a Northwest Islands cruiser have to admit never once thought about it.
Looking for insight from those who may have examined this themselves or where I might go for the information.
