Does anyone have a 120% genoa that they would like to sell. We are taking the boat south next year and only have the factory 150%. Thanks.

Same situation with Royal Serf. The 155% way overpowers the boat in anything above 15 knots when beating. After some discussion on this forum, I ended up having Doyle Sailmakers (through CatalinaOwners.com) make me a new 120% genoa. Price was around $3000. I tried to find a used sail and was unsuccessful. I got some comparison prices from other lofts that ranged from $3500 to $4100. There may be better places (less expensive) to get a new sail, but I do not know who they are. Perhaps some of the other forum members can give some leads. By the way, after talking to 3 sailmakers, they set up the boats heading to the Caribbean with 125-130's. Good luck and happy cruising!

I have a UK Tape-Drive Genoa that I bought new in 1999. It is a 155 that was damaged in a storm in 2000. UK Sailmakers in Detroit recut it so it is now about a 130. I have flown it a couple of times, but here on Lake Huron in Michigan I have found that I can keep the 155 up even in 30 kts of wind without furling. If someone is interested, email me at Furtuncook@aol.com.

We have done 24knts on a broad reach with a 135, headed north on Albarmarle sound trying to beat a storm (we did) , but thats about my limit.
