I just used whatever Westmarine had on hand and then followed the directions. As I recall it was pretty straight forward. I did add some silicone sealant as an extra water proofing.

If you're taking the stick out, Rigrite (www.rigrite.com) sells the ISOMAT NG-80-15 mast boot (heavy black rubber). Or, you can check with Charleston Spar, the current mast builder for their recommendations. Larry Melelana Catalina 42 #175 1990 3cbn, wk Solomons, MD |
