Capns: I have been trying to locate the roller hardware mechanism for the forward sliding door on my 89 3 cabin, has anyone else tackled this and found a workable/reliable solution? thank in advance

I'll be watching this thread for an answer too. One of my sliders broke hobby-horsing in a heavy seaway -- the bolt pulled out of the plastic fitting/collar on the slide. Hope someone can suggest a source....

Ron Landmann - do you happen to have th part numbers in your archives somewhere? It does not have a secure feature for using credit cards. : : Thanks to Captain Dan and Hospitality for the tips on how to rebuild. : : Ron The "folding shutter door top roller" refers to the name the supplier used on the invoice. We used the "rollers" to fix the forward head sliding door on a 1992 2 cabin 42. The installation went smoothly. No trouble closing the door, but when the door is opened it has to be lifted a little bit to get it started. We are going to raise the rollers a little to see if this helps. You can go on the internet site for the supplier (www.aaascreen.com) and find a diagram of the rollers to make sure they are the same ones you have. Thanks, Larry. This is just what I needed. The part number looks like it is N-6604 or N-6605, about 1/3 of the way down of Section N, Bi-fold and Pocket Door Hardware. I'll give them a call on Monday.

capns Landman: how small are the rollers on your new part? I spoke with the Idaho company but they said the rollers on the part mentioned serve very tiny. does that jive with your new part? thanks tom jones

Tom,
I haven't ordered mine yet, but I'm not sure of what the company is telling you. I was on my boat at the time I checked out their web page and I carefully measured my door's roller and compared it to the ones in their catalog. It sure seemed to be a match. The only question between N-6604 and N-6605 was stud length and I'm pretty sure ours are the 1.25" ones. Are they telling you this part won't fit our doors? Rod Williams
