Dining table to bed: I can't get it to work! |

My first question to the forum may as well be a simple one...I do not know how to convert the dining table in our 2 cabin pullman ( formerly Pattons Pending,
hull #442) to a bed and would appreciate a step by step explanation. I slacked off the tension bolts in the collars under the table and released the
spring-loaded catches, lifted, but nothing happened. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Lifted? Did the table come free? Or did you not "lift" it enough. Lifting sometimes takes quite a bit of wiggling and effort. Once you get it
"lifted" then you put in the short metal tubes and drop it back down.

AAAHHH!!!! The table, the fun you will have. It is easy to get the table up and the big tubes out. The little tubes ,after putting the weight of two adults on
the bed, tend to stick a bit ( usually on long trips with the bed down for awile). Sometimes a pull with a twist frees them... other times I take big channel
locks and someone else pulls as I twist with the channel locks. Watch your back as it could get strained if you do not watch how you pull the tubes out. Hope
this makes you sleep better.

Hmm, my table doesn't have tension bolts or spring loaded catches, just two big tubes. Maybe someone has replaced or modified the original table?

Steve,
Interesting point as Hull 466 and 422 are close. Our table has two female receivers of the tubes that has a spring loaded clip ( of no real use ) and a tensioner that clamps on to a plastic sleeve that is in the female receiver. Without the knobs to turn , which clamp on to the tubes, how do you stop the table/bed fromk wobbling???????
