I need to redo the 2 point Dutchman systems of my 97 Mark II full batten main.
As it is now, there is a static steel cable running from the masthead to the end of the boom where through a block the topping lift become line and adjusts through the boom.
I want to replace this with halyard style type A system so the mono lines can be easily replaced without going aloft.
Question, can the second spinnaker sheave be used for this purpose? By design it can handle a line lead aft and thus OK for a topping lift?
Thanks,
John
