One thing that bugs me about sailing the 42 is when you are heeled over and let's say driving from the high or windward side and sitting on the coaming,
it's a long way down to the other side of the cockpit particularly if you are taking spray in the cockpit the sole becomes an ice skating rink. Racers
typically have a molded in brace on the sole to give you support when heeled over and I've seen teak braces too but was wondering if any of you have added
this feature themselves somehow and how well you like it or do I simply need a better pair of Sperry's? -Thanks.
