Arrive when you get here! Socialize on dock, in the bar at the resort, on the grounds, in the spa and have fun! Introduce yourself and check out the other boats.

Sharing Seminar for each boat:
Have a feature/s or upgrade on your boat that you think is pretty cool printed out on a handout (10 copies?) Take your camera around and document good ideas. (We are all expert on the last repair and upgrade we just finished!)

Seminar: "Zoned Hydronic Heat - The Full Enchilada"


Solaria owners Geoff Tobin and Ken Fischer will present an overview of their zoned hydronic heat system, which includes domestic hot water. Get ideas to build or upgrade your own system. Hydronic installation kits contain boxes, bags, and rolls of components. See the big picture, the details, and the pitfalls. Fuel systems, wiring, exhaust, and plumbing will be covered. Detailed tours all weekend.


Race Seminar if needed with tips on starting and basic
trim techniques (Garry Willis, Andy Schwenk and Count Ferrari)

Short Buoy One Design C-42 Race/s (possible) in East Sound around 1:00 (Exact Start Time to be determined and DOW (Depending On Weather))

Fleet PHOTO for Mainsheet We need to document our encounter with a suitable photo.

My idea is to have a simulated (real?) start with all the boats heading for the starting line, in a line (DOW,) We have a Grand Banks 36 as photo base and maybe other small dinks so we should be able to get something good. Please submit ideas for this shot in a reply.

Dinner on dock Pot Luck along with visitations on Open Boats and general mixing.

Shuttle N/C to the top of Mt. Constitution available during the day.


Music scene:

There is an organ recital every Saturday night in the main lodge, played on the largest organ ever built in a private residence. The history of the resort is also presented and this is included as part of the moorage or room.



Sunday:

Exchange photos on CDs and enjoy the morning in the San Juans.

Head on back, stick around, go cruising the San Juans, head up to
the Gulf Islands, Sail down to Mexico?

Another idea.....

There may be a number of people who are using the rendezvous as the
beginning of a sailing week (or end). Perhaps we should poll people
for a "fleet cruise" on Sunday. It should be an easy sail, as we
didn't get out of Deer Harbor until 11 or so last year. Not sure on
a destination...Friday Harbor (10.5nm), Deer Harbor (10nm), Sucia
(20nm)? I'm thinking a sail-able route, as this could become our
"race" if we run out of time.


Rendezvous Overtime


For those staying out in the islands to Monday, a group sail will be led by Solaria. Destination to be determined. Sucia Island is about 20nm. Friday Harbor and Deer Harbor are about 10nm. Remember - any sailboat traveling in the same general direction constitutes a race!
