I am looking for information about the sailing conditions in the Sarasota-Tampa area. May relocate there in the near future. Any information would certainly be helpful regarding marinas, marina rates, sailing conditions.

Mark,
Just happens to be my home turf. Best sailing of all Florida is found in this area. Lots of barrier islands and anchorages. I have been in a Yacht Club for a while now so I don't know the cost for dockage but it is in the $500-$600 range for a 42 footer. Plenty of choices for marinas. Winter snowbirds make it more difficult in the winter but still good availability. I don't know what your used to for sailing conditions but Florida is usually no wind in the summer, perfect in the spring and fall and lots of fronts roll in during the winter. Mark ESCAPADE # 758 |
