jerry, they no longer make the a12-0004 but a11-0257 is still available from taco metal. The boat in pensacola used rubrails.com, mr Ray at 877 287 6707, the rigid vinyl HRVO-100 with SS rail totals $13 a foot or about $1100 w/o SS screws and labor.
Hi to all,

I worked with Larsen Marine in the winter of 1995 to install a metal rub rail. Melelana's previous owners saw my installation and ordered the same. A full explanation along with photos was published in the February 1997 issue of mainsheet.

If anyone is interested, I still have the plans, photos, and materials list for the installation. We still sail the boat, and the hull is in great condition, partly because...

Peter,

Melelana's original owner had Larsen Marine in Waukegan, Illinois install a "charter boat" stainless capped rub rail when she was new. After 10 years of his abuse and 5 years of mine, it shows a few scars, but really protects the topsides - and no vinyl insert to pop out.

I can strongly recommend this mod.
