        <![CDATA[ I am ready to install my link 10.  My setup has 2 Trojan 125 banks for the house paralleled thru the Perko selector switch and a dedicated group 27 start battery charged via a Westmarine 150 combiner.
            
            For my link 10 install, I plan to parallel the negatives of both house banks at the xantrex shunt and keep the distance from the negative terminals to the shunt at a minimum (is this important?).  For the two positive leads, I can only take them off one bank, as... ]]>

            I have a similar installation put in about 5 years ago and it works very well.  Some things to look out for:<br>

            You are right that the negative of both house banks should be connected parallel at the shunt.  The distance between the batteries and the shunt does not matter since you are measuring current, not voltage.  You do want to be careful how you configure the negative end of the shunt with respect to the cranking... ]]></description>
