1. my Schaffer furling system is seizing and needs to be replaced. Seems to be more of a problem in So.Cal . Have the new part(flushable hub -just have not yet installed) The problem can apparantly be avoided by regular flushing. There is quite a thread re this on this site. I encourage you to read it.
