			<description><![CDATA[ By far the easiest way to move the shaft back a bit is to add a DriveSaver at the flange. The cost might not be the lowest, but the device is tested and
reliable. I don&#39;t have one on our C42, but I added DriveSavers to our previous boats to accommodate AutoProps. The DriveSavers are about one inch thick.

I would not experiment with any sort of plastic such as Starboard. It is not intended for that sort of use. It probably would not break, but it might deform.
