<![CDATA[ The main sheet traveler on our 1997 Catalina 42 works hard. I have lubed it several time with very temporary improvement. I talked to Harken about an upgrade
and they suggested I replace the track and blocks (about $1000 for the parts). Has anyone done this? Does Garhauer make a replacement? Thanks for any
suggestions offered.

Sorry for the confusion. The blocks you are referring to are indeed from Garhauer as Addison points out and like all of their gear is extremely well priced.

I would caution you however to going much beyond at 6:1 purchase because while it is true that it does make it easier to trim with the additional purchase as

What is the purchase on yours? As you can see, mine is a 5 to 1 and it works well in heavier air. One thing that I have found that makes it easier to work the

I installed the new traveler on Saturday and it went well. I cut the old shieves off, slid on the new traveler, slid on the new shieves, and relocated the

center one. I assume there is also an upgrade for the main sheet which uses all three rings. Have you installed this?
