I would be intrested in the Genoa. I will be in your area for the boat show in late January. I know it is a long ways off but at least you won't need to ship it.. Let me know. If you are in a hurry, no problems, I understand.

I have emailed Rodney (Sashay) and am waiting for his response. If he wants the main and genoa I will let you know and arranges shipping I will let you know. If he decides that he doesn't want them I will get in touch with Rodger (Reboot). If that doesn't work out I will get ahold of Steve. I will keep you updated on the progress.

If the deal with Sashay falls thru I will take both. I have family in the Seattle area that could come by and pick them up. I will deal with getting them to Milwaukee! Mine are still the stock sails from 1995!

I checked with my local shipping store. To ship a package that is 4 ft x 3 ft x 1.5 ft and weighs 70 pounds would cost about $250 to $300. Shipping by Greyhound might be cheaper. If you are interested you can check it out and let me know.

Just a thought but you might consider using Greyhound to ship the sails. I recently sold a jib and the guy who bought it recommended using Greyhound which I did and it was cheap, fast and the sail went in its own bag (no packaging needed).

I will stop by my local UPS store on Tuesday and ask them about shipping to Santa Monica and let you know what I find out. I am not sure how to ship the battens. There are 4 or 5 full length battens. We just replaced the main and 140% genoa on our Catalina 42. If anybody wants either or both they can have them for the cost of getting them. The genoa was made by Catalina. It needs a new UV cover but is otherwise in good repair. The main was made by Catalina is dirty but is otherwise in good repair. I am guessing the sails are origional to the boat (1999). Are they perfect - no - but they are free except for the cost to pick them up or to ship them to you.
