I got to check out a 42 at the boat show, I was already sold, when I looked, but wow, it was different from the 95 model boat I looked at. I am really happy
with my choice. Thanks for all the Support. Maybe I will see some of you at next years show. Well more to come on my boat when she gets her.

I think you will be very happy with the Leisure Furl in boom system. Always make sure that the sail cover is pulled back before you winch up the sail. I know
a couple of owners who forgot and ripped it and had to replace it. I almost did it one time too. Good luck with your boat, it really is a wonderful new
friend to have. If you have any questions or would like to chat on phone, email me at sandy@safety.angels.us and I

That is quite a step up from a C25 to a C42. I thought we had a big upgrade from a C30 to a C42. You will love all of the extra room. I actually find the C42
easier to single hand than the C30 was, except getting in and out of the slip.

I appreciate the response on the boom furling choice, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Let us know how it works out over time as well so we can
keep track of the various installations and their respective real-world performance.

As a new owner of a C42 I know exactly the excitement your experiencing and am enjoying sharing it with you through your posts - keep it up.

Congratulations on the C42. One more thing to add to the other comments (which are spot on), go around and tighten everything. When our boat arrived
everything from door handles to toilets were loose. Also, but hopefully not a worry to start with, keep an eye on the prop shaft flange bolts. They have a
nasty habit of loosening over time.

Enjoy the boat.

Home depot carries a decent shop vac called a "stinger". I've used it for years and really like it. It will fit nicely in your boat by opening
the access in the front of the shower (where the anchor windlass is located) and dropping it down under the shower seat. It's a good place to put something
relatively big, so it doesn't get lost. Finding a place for a vacuum on board can sometimes be a bit of a pain. This combination works.
