I've found less horsing about with an all-chain rode and a dual 3/4" bridle about 7' long. For example, as the boat starts to yaw, the bridle on the now leeward bow takes up the slack well before the chain would in the bow-roller, shortening the excursion and tacking the bow sooner. Then dito on the other tack. Also, the bridle attached to the mooring cleats a bit back from the bow seems to move the rode closer to the water.
