        <![CDATA[ I have my 1994 MKI hauled replacing the cutlass bearing.  I was told that the shaft is pitted and needs replaced.  What is the cost of a new shaft, and can I get one from catalina?  How difficult is it to remove the rudder to replace the shaft.  The yard was saying that it would take two guys all day.   ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ Once the cutlass bearing was removed they were able to get the shaft out without removing the rudder.  You could see minor etching on the shaft that followed the groves in the cutlass bearing about 2 inches long.  You couldn't feel it but you could see the etching. I thought it would be best to replace the shaft.  I have a PSS dripless that is 12 years old, so I was replacing the bellows.  Thanks for all the help, Greg ]]></description>
