Steve,

I want to put a secondary pump and switch in but the aft portion under the grate just seem to have -0- room and the whale manual takes up most of it anyway.

Did you also place additional switches ? or just pumps.

I just wonder the liklihood of the pump going before the switch or the switch going before the pump.

My experience has been that the switch...

I moved the original 1750 gph pump to the aft most bilge area, below the wooden grating. The 4000 gph is in the next section fwd with the 2" hose going under the galley floor, under the water heater and out above the swim step. The 3700 gph is in next section forward with the 1 1/2" hose going up the open section on the starboard side between breaker cabinet and starboard head bulkhead and out starboard side above rub rail. I had to cut two holes in bilge bulkheads to have smooth...

I just funished installing a Rule 4000 to backup a Rule 3700 I installed earlier and a 1750 that came with the boat. The larger Rule's needed a relay to handle the high amperage motors(18 amps each) and just measured the output of water at the hull output at > 30 gallons min together. The 4000 required a 2" diameter hose that I ran out the stern. Overall I am satisfied with their performance and reliability.
Steve 642-2f TESA
