I just got to sailing our "new" cat 42 JOLINI for the first time properly since we bought her last Oct.
She is the wing keel , short rudder model which I must admit I did think would perform too well but liked the many other attributes not to let that worry us too much - our days of English Channel races being long gone.
I was proved wrong , in a good F4 to 5 she just flew , full main and full 135% genoa, pointed to about 35dgrees at 7.6knots...

Agree with Steve. If you run at idle under no load of 1 hour you can't expect very much hot water but loading up the engine to cruise speed should give you plenty of hot water within the hour. Check the engine coolant hoses where they enter the water tank. If the engine is up to temperature they should be fairly warm, almost too hot to grip tightly.

Our experience is that running the engine, at cruising RPM's, will heat the water fairly well within an hour. If your temp guage is reading approx. 175 degrees, an hour should do it. You should be getting good flow through the heat exchange.
