Wash basin in the forward head drips with the handles turned off. Basically, the water will not completely shut off. Pulled the handles off and pulled out the mechanism. Completely different than my household faucets. Not your usual washer held in by a screw.

Does anyone know if these can be fixed in any way, or do I have to buy a whole new mechanism? Also, where can I buy them at?

            The part has GROHE A 98 G1 L 90 written on it....

Thanks for the suggestions.

FYI

I tried calling grohe and they said they did not sell parts to end users.

Called two numbers they gave me as suppliers, and neither carried the cartridges.

Finally called Ferguson plumbing supply (national plumbing distributor) and they had them to me the next day via ups.

I think they were $26...

My yard just replaced my cold water "insert". The porcelain.... or ceremic part of the brass insert was broken, alas a constant stream beneath the chrome faucet above the sink

It cost about $24 for the part. My boat is a 1997.
