			<description><![CDATA[ I seem to recall a while back a post that the C-42 MII &quot;empty&quot; displacement was acknowledged by Catalina (Gerry?) to be closer to 22500# rather than the published spec of 20500#. I recently came across an article in Boat/US Magazine (July, 2005  by marine surveyer Jack Hornor) that confirmed the 22500# number.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ Has anyone ever heard of a sweet spot?  It is supposed to be that spot on the boat, used when docking, so that when you attach a spring line to that spot the boat will move ahead, parallel to the dock, coming closer to the dock, neither stern or bow in.<br>

            I use the midship cleat for the spring line, but that results in pulling the bow in.  If I knew the spot, I could atach a line to the midship cleat, run it through an extra genoa car (just to creat the angle)... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I'm embarrassed to say, but I just hauled out for a quick bottom paint repair and I asked the Travel lift driver what 'ol Breezn weighed. I should know better but I went ahead anyway and he told me that she weighed 16 tons!!!  WHAT!!<br>

            Well, after recovering from my collapse, I started to remove everything off the boat at which time my wife suggested that I might need that particular tool and that bottle of wine is really fine etc, etc.<br>

			<title><![CDATA[ Lazarette storage ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ There is a lot of storage in the aft section of the boat, but it is not easy access.  A while back I installed canvas bags in both lazarettes.  One holds our cockpit cushions while the other has fenders, table-top cushion and miscellaneous stuff.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ On my 1989 Mark I C42 I have a rainwater leak at the port side main cabin window.  The leak is not from the outside of the window but from elsewhere on the deck and I suspect that the water is probably running between the deck and the headliner to the window area.  I'm curious whether others have had a similar leak and found the source.  I have already rebedded the handrails and the eyebrows, so I'm now looking at the deck hatches.
