I have two battery switches, but my wiring schematic shows only 1 switch. 			<title><![CDATA[ C42 as a battery ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I thought I knew everything about electricity &lt;grin&gt;, but was surpised about an electrical measurement I just made. If I put a probe in the salt water (floating the boat) and another probe on either stay or shroud, I see .7 volts being generated. This is in the very low, milliamp range. Also weird is that the sea is positive and the rig is negative. I do remember in chemistry class making a similar battery, but didn't expect it here.<br>

			<title><![CDATA[ Shore Power indicator lamp ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ On the Catalina 42 mk1 Hull No 113, I have two shore power indicator lamps (red and green), alas the green lamp as died and I need to find a replacement. The lamp shows it is a 125v 1/2 watt, unfortunately being in Europe I need a 220v 1/2 watt lamp. I assume there is a diode within the lamp assembly so either the green or red lamp shows dependant on shore power polarity. Can anyone help with a supplier here in Europe?<br>

            Is there a risk or only if they are cooking ?<br>

            Is that the primary reason I would want to go to AGMs ?<br>

			<title><![CDATA[ Green corrosion on breaker terminals ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ The wiring terminals behind my electrical circuit breaker panel have developed a green corrosion. I have brushed and cleaned the terminals off with a stiff nylon brush. And I have sprayed WD40 on it. The WD40 seems to keep it away for about a month and then it comes back. 			<description><![CDATA[ I'm on my way back to the hardware store to return my third carbon monoxide detecter.  Our Catalina 42 &quot;Seas the Moment&quot; #853 has a factory installed generator and we would feel better sleeping at night with a detector when the generator is running.  All three detectors have gone off while the boat is at dock with nothing running...is their something in the air?  Could it be the battery charger? They are charged by the stock 80A Hitachi alternator and the stock pro-mariner 30/50 and wired thru the stock battery selector switch with start as #1 and house #2.             What is the trick if any in in lifting the batteries  that weigh about 125 lbs each out if the battery box in the garage, there is not enough room to get on top of them to get a good vertical pull, nor is there room for to people to lift at the same time, I had thought that the rear of the box was removable and that one could pull them out thru the port lazerete but that does not seem to be the case.<br>... ]]></description>
