			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve just been informed of the following. It bugs me to see us lose a C42, but, at least, it was not an issue with the boat. Lets all wish John &amp; his
crew better luck in any future passages.

&quot;It is regret that we have to inform you that our catalina 42, Coolabah hit a submerged object 300 miles out of Suva, Fiji and sunk. All four crew on
board were rescued by a nearby vessel and we are all safe now in savu Savu, Fiji.

			<description><![CDATA[ I bought my 42 while working contract on the East Coast. In between projects, I sailed her from Annapolis to Florida, over to the Abacos twice, and finally to
USVI.

The bad news is I took a full-time job here in AZ.  I&#39;ve been back to the boat twice, but don&#39;t have much time left this year; maybe able to make it
there in January and then move her next summer.
<br>

know we had a shroud toggle break when we were in the BVI) we set sail for the canal. We made it to Panama from St Martin in 11 days. Very rough passage. We
started off great out of Marigot bay with our intended buddy boat &#39;Sal Away&#39; ( a 49ft Jeanneau with 4 kiwis on board - they&#39;re heading to Fiji on

			<title><![CDATA[ A 42 is racing in the Transpac ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ A Catalina 42 is now racing across the pacific to Hawaii and are now 2nd in class and 2nd in fleet. The boat is named Far Niente out of Dana Pt. Ca. and owned
by Patrick Hearne. They had a first day run of 110 miles so they now have 2,115 miles to go. Believe it or not but the one boat that is correcting out on them
is a Catalina 38 with a first days run of 108 miles so the Catalina family should be pretty happy right now.

weekend inside Marina del Rey, CA. I pretty much have the circumference &amp; diameter figured out, but need help determining the angel of boats as they
raft-up. I&#39;ve read some stories on the web &amp; like one idea of tying a nylon line between the stearns of the 1st 2 bow anchored boats. If I get the 30

			<description><![CDATA[ Here&#39;s an interesting article that appeared in an Australian boating magazine last November about a couple who purchased a used 42  and then sailed her to
Mexico and then across the Pacific to Australia. It tells of their preparations and experience crossing the Pacific and how the boat handled the trip. They are
still sailing the boat down there in Oz and enjoying the boat.

			<description><![CDATA[ Walker&#39;s Cay Marina and Resort is closed, but the Customs office at the airfield has continued in operation.  The folks that live or visit on Grand Cay use
the once-a-day flight between Freeport and Walker&#39;s.  I don&#39;t know if I&#39;ll risk going into the Marina to tie-up.  I&#39;ll probably dinghy in and
clear customs, then on to Grand Cay or Double-Breasted. ]]></description>
