			<description><![CDATA[ <div id="refHTML"></div>I own a Catalina 42 two cabin - 1992.  I have a water capacity of 110 gallons.  As I understand it, there are two separate water tanks.
 As I further understand it, there is a value which must be opened to access the second tank.  Where is that value?

			<title><![CDATA[ Overheating ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ After nearly 13 years of above average use, my 4JH2E diesel decided to overheat for the 1st time. It only happens at high RPM (think over 3200), comes back to
normal temp when run around 2400RPM. This tells me it&#39;s not an air bubble in the coolant. I believe I have adequate flow of water, so don&#39;t suspect the
raw water impeller. It was changed about 300 hours ago and I believe has a life of over 500 hours. Coolant level is normal. I recently hauled out &amp; the raw

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>2002 #822 centerline.

I have a dry boat except the mast. I have been checking the water egress from every nook, hole, bulkhead and fitting. The only access is at the bottom of the
mast. There is a drain at the bottom of the mast which empties under the floor boards to the bilge. When it rains (which is always) the water enters the
in-mast roller and makes it&#39;s way to the bilge. I will remove the deck mast boot this summer and let the top part of the mast drain onto the deck. But... ]]></description>

I keep having failures on the pole fittings for my 42 MK2. It has a Harken bell at the inboard end and the pole is stored on the mast. I have replaced the bell
twice @ $300 each when the casting has failed and have just replaced the trigger mechanism as well as it failed when I was refitting the pole end into the
bell. The casting seems very weak and not able to take the loads. I think I need to replace the whole system as Harken tell me it&#39;s not designed to store

We&#39;ve had our boat for 6 months now and are very happy with it. One minor issue is the noise from the mast in the pullman berth when trying to get some
sleep. I don&#39;t think the clanging is from the halyards but more likely from the wiring? There is a surprising amount of noise even when tied to the dock

			<description><![CDATA[ I just finished winterizing the engine and always feel the my oil change procedure is a little incomplete as  it appears that siphoning oil thru the dipstick
leaves the worst of the oil in the pan.  Has anyone installed a system to allow the oil to be pulled from the oil pan drain?  Maybe I am just worrying about
nothing, but my engine is the most important safety feature on the boat an I want to take the best care of her that I can.
