Not sure how much general interest on this. For a long time my Yanmar's oil consumption seemed unusually high. After 12 hours round trip motoring at
3300RPM it was down a quart-a lot. There was oil on the block near the filter, dripping into the bilge. I thought it was the oil pressure switch but sfter
cleaning it off and checking carefully it turned out to be a small hex plug in a spare hole in the mount for the switch that was loose. I can't see how it
loosened from vibration so I...

when we have thunderstorms with very high wind, which is what we had Sunday morning. I woke up about 3:00 am and stepped in a pool of water. During normal
showers and when washing the boat I don't have water coming in. The wind direction was coming from the port side, almost beam on gusting from 25-45 mph.

pipe runs from the pump to the manifold located under the cabin sole at the foot of the companionway. Before I get too far into the repair, I wondered if
anyone can offer me some advice. Is it relatively easy to "splice" a new section of the PVC piping to the old, or am I faced with having to replace
