for sailing boats. All Catalina 42s since around 2000 have this  CE certification but mine was built before it came into effect. Most of the changes that I

			<description><![CDATA[ Solaria (#906) came equipped with a SureBail float switch from the factory. It is a traditional float, but contains no mercury and is essentially a sealed
system. Late this summer, it appeared to fail. The pump would not come on (as in, hey, that&#39;s a lot of water in the bilge!). It would work occasionally if
I shook it just right, but couldn&#39;t be trusted. So we replaced it with the equivalent from West Marine, a SureBail E2.

Lewmar catalog at the local chandlery and cannot find a listing for the seals. Winter is coming and the port above the Admirals head has a bit of a leak so

was solid in all positions.  After putting her back in the water I read a thread which suggested rudder tube failure as a possibility.  I spent the entire
season with the thought of how to handle a lost rudder in the back of my mind.  While this is a healthy exercise to be prepared for anything I want to address

			<description><![CDATA[ Has anyone come up with a way to lock their maserator thru-hull ball valves to be USCG compliant while in a no-discharge zone?  My handles have no hole in the
end for a wire tie.  Are the handles easily removable?  I understand that one can put a lock on the access hatch as well.  Ours is a 2007 with the marelon
valves.

on sailing trip. Jiggling wires  on the drive unit got that to work well enough to get me back home to Ventura. Over the week we got a couple inches of rain.
